Program: Local Ham Stations
The October meeting will feature a show & tell of local amateur stations on video presented by Don Bennett, KG7BP and Jack Schock, WA7IHU.
There will be more goodies from the N7NS estate available at the meeting; this includes more free books, and some items for sale.

September 2, 2010 Club Meeting

Program: HF Propagation, Tom McDermott, N5EG
The September program will feature the “prolific presenter” Tom McDermott N5EG, who will talk about “HF Propagation”. With sunspot cycle 24 gaining momentum, this is certainly a timely topic.

June 3, 2010 Club Meeting

Program: Nostalgia Radio Videos
Don Bennett, KG7BP will present the program for the June 3 meeting. Entitled “Voice of Victory,” it describes Hallicrafters in World War 2. Be reminded that the June meeting is the last meeting before the July-August break (next meeting is September).
Also there will be discussion and sign-ups for Field Day. The committee has been hard at work finding a site; more about that at the meeting. The site will be close to Medford, so there is no excuse because of traveling. Come out even if it’s a few hours – there always room at the microphone.

May 6, 2010 Club Meeting

The May 6 program will show videos of several DXpeditions. Also I’ll allow time for discussions about Field Day. The FD committee consisting of Don Bennett KG7BP, Tom McDermott, N5EG, and Scott Cummings, KB7EHB will be receptive to your suggestions.

April 1, 2010 Club Meeting

Program: Smith Charts and Impedance Matching, Tom McDermott, N5EG
The April 1 program will feature “Smith charts and impedance matching” by Tom McDermott, N5EG. Tom makes so many contributions to the Club, in addition to putting out the newsletter (in spite of working a demanding job). And he can explain complex subjects in understandable language.

March 4, 2010 Club Meeting

Program: Practical Test Instruments, Bud Larson, W7LNG
The March 4 program will feature Bud Larson, W7LNG telling us about “Practical Test Instruments.” He will also display several devices that hams can use in building and maintaining station equipment.

The February 4 meeting will feature Lud Sibley, KB2EVN telling us about vacuum tubes. Our treasurer and generous program presenter heads up the Tube Collectors of America and knows a lot about the topic.

December 3, 2009 Club Meeting

Program: Annual Christmas Party
Following tradition, the December 3 meeting will be a Christmas dinner gathering, this year at the Far East restaurant at 4th and Front Street in Medford at 6:00 (usual meeting day, one hour earlier). Bring a gift marked OM or XYL (under $10.00) to participate in the gift exchange.

November 5, 2009 Club Meeting

Program: Moonbounce (EME), Steve Chastain, N7SC
The November 5 meeting program will feature Steve Chastain, N7SC, telling us about his moonbounce (EME) activity on UHF. Steve has extensive experience and success using this mode.
Again, be receptive to accepting a leadership position for 2010. Bud, W7LNG, is heading up the nominating committee, assisted by Tom, N5EG. Nominations also can be made from the floor at the November meeting, with prior agreement from the nominee. Elections will follow.
