The RVARC club meeting will be held Thursday, February 5th at 7:00 PM at the Jacksonville Library, 340 W C St., Jacksonville, Oregon.

The program will be on “Patio Radio” about Repeater and Interties. The speaker will be Steve Porter WA6YSM.

This meeting or event is not sponsored nor endorsed by the Library.

2026-02-05 RVARC Meeting Minutes

7:03pm President Amy Haptonstall called the meeting to order.

21 attendees

Our new meeting dates are now the first Tuesday of the month. Next meeting will be March 3 at the Jacksonville Library Meeting Room.

Treasurer’s Report: $5979.27 in the bank.

The CARE club needs help with the 2026 Field Day organizing.

7:08pm Presentation on “Patio Radio” by Steve Porter, WA6YSM

Patio Radio was a linked VHF/UHF radio system from the 1970’s connecting Oregon and California. Steve discussed the history and status of the Patio Radio system, and displayed a 19” rack full of original hardware, along with documentation & schematics. Many wonderful stories were shared.
