The RVARC club meeting will be held Thursday, June 5th at 7:00 PM at the Jacksonville Library, 340 W C St., Jacksonville, Oregon. Our speaker will be Pat Cunningham, N7UH, who will present on the open-source (both hardware and software) M17 radio project.

This meeting or event is not sponsored nor endorsed by the Library.

2025-06-05 RVARC Meeting Minutes

28 Attendees

6:58pm Acting President Scott Cummings, DU1/NA7OM, called the meeting to order.

After attendee introductions, Bruce Cook, KG7TUO, reminded us that there will be a class session on Saturday, June 7 at 930 Summit Ave.

Scott mentioned the recent solar activity degraded reception, except perhaps for 6M.

Van Sias, K7VS, was wished a happy 87th birthday!

Scott is leaving for the Philippines in a week, returning about April 2026, and is retiring his position as (acting) president. He mentioned that he was #1 in the Philippines for CQWW-CW, but that he lost about 34% of calls due to his split callsign not being copied correctly.

Treasurer’s Report: $5969.27 in the bank.

Bruce, KG7TUO, led a discussion on organization of Field Day, scheduled for the weekend of June 28 at Lud Sibley’s in Sam’s Valley.

The club has no meetings in July and August, the next meeting will be Sept 4, location TBD.

7:47pm Break for visiting, coffee, and snacks.
