The RVARC club meeting will be held Thursday, April 3rd at 7:00 PM at the Jacksonville Library, 340 W C St., Jacksonville, Oregon. Our speaker will be Allan Taylor, K7GT, who will present on the History of CW.

2025-04-03 RVARC Meeting Minutes

20 Attendees

7:00pm President Scott Cummings, NA7OM, called the meeting to order.

Of Note: Congratulations to our newest young licensees Sullivan, KK7ZLO & Machai, KK7ZSK !

Scott told of his last few months in the Philippines (GMT+8) battling 4 typhoons in 4 weeks, while contesting.

7:17pm Treasurer’s report: $5816.59 in the bank, plus tonight’s membership dues paid.

Field Day 2025 will be the weekend of June 28, at Lud Sibley’s Tube Collector’s Museum in Sams Valley.

Bruce, KG7TUO, remarked that license classes are ongoing. Contact him for details.

7:32pm Break for coffee & snacks

7:51pm Presentation by Allan Taylor, K7GT, on CW. He covered code from the 1844 railroad Morse to international morse, different types of keyers, etc.

The presentation should become available on the Club Presentations portion of the Reference section of the club website, k7mfr.org
