The next regularly scheduled club meeting is Thursday January 2, 2025, at 7:00 PM. It will be held at the Jacksonville Library, 340 W. C St., Jacksonville, OR. Naversen meeting room.

2025-01-02 RVARC Meeting Minutes

7:00pm Club Vice President Allan Taylor, K7GT, called the meeting to order. There were about 20 attendees.

7:05pm Treasurer’s Report: $5081.59 bank balance, after $50 fee paid for annual Oregon form 990 filing.

New Business: 2025 Field Day will be held at Lud Sibley’s location on the weekend of June 28-29. We need CW operators, and planning with the CARE club.

There will be a license exam held on Jan 11 at 2pm at the Star Auto Body location.

A memorial will be held for SK Don Montgomery, WB7Q, Saturday, Jan. 11 in Jacksonville.

7:25pm Pat, N7UH, gave tonight’s Presentation: “RTL-SDR, $35 & a computer” Using an inexpensive USB SDR dongle on a PC to receive and decode various radio transmissions. Decoders like RTL-433, RTL-AMR, RTL-AIS, RTL-ADSB, Multimon, and Multimon-NG are examples.
