MEETING LOCATION CHANGED (AGAIN)
The next regularly scheduled club meeting is Thursday June 6, 2024, at 7:00 PM. It will be held at the Jackson County Library Jacksonville Branch, in the Naversen room. 340 W. C St., Jacksonville, OR.
Program:
- RTTY (Radio Teletype), John Laybourne AC7S, and Tom McDermott, N5EG
The program will cover the history of RTTY, then more modern RTTY and contesting.
Exam:

RVARC Meeting Minutes June 6, 2024
7:05pm Meeting called to order by interim president Scott Cummings, DU1/NA7OM 24 attendees
New Business: Treasurer’s Report: received $500 that was donated in memoriam of Don Bennett by one of his relatives. Checking account balance is $5870.09
Discussion followed on how best to use the $500 donation. Mike, N7XBJ: 70% of new licensees do not affiliate with a club.
Van, K7VS: motion to give first year ( + balance of current year) RVARC membership free to new licensees. Mike, N7XBJ : 2nd vote: motion passed
Old Business: Regarding Field Day 2024: Option of one additional transmitter for class A if operated above 50MHz. Extra points for public relations, social media, public information table.

Amy, AG7GP: motion to bring ideas for “how to use the $500 donation” at the next meeting. Scott, NA7OM, 2nd. vote: motion passed.
