Program: Going On Your First DXpedition, Al Rovner, K7AR

Our speaker this month will be noted DXpeditioner Al Rovner, N7AR. Al is a member of the Willamette Valley DX Club. He will be joining us using zoom. In addition to our in-person meeting, we will also have the zoom call open for anyone who would prefer to join the meeting virtually. Of course coffee and cookies don’t travel well electronically.

2024-04-04 RVARC Meeting Minutes

7:06pm Call to order by president Don Bennett, KG7BP. 26 attendees in person with about 4 or 5 on zoom.

Treasurer’s Report: $5407.09 in checking acct. After the test fees, a total of $274 is paid off for the testing hardware debt of $447.68 leaving balance of $173.68

New Business:

7:18pm Notice: The June 14-15, 2024 Wild Rogue Relay has been cancelled, see www.thewildroguerelay.com

Mike, N7XBJ, President of CARE Club, asked if RVARC would consider absorbing their club. They have about 38-40 paid members and 5-10 visitors & students. Van Sias, K7VS, made a motion to have the two club’s presidents discuss a merger and present a recommendation at the next meeting. Don Bennett, KG7BP, seconded. Vote was: AYE, most. NO, none. Motion passed unapposed.
