Program: RF Exposure Evaluation, Tom McDermott, N5EG; Field Day Plans
About 2 years ago the FCC changed regulations — these now require amateur to perform an RF Exposure Evaluation for all operations. This presentation will address the regulations, theory, and show a simple method for performing the calculations using the ARRL Web application.
There will be a discussion on the RVARC club plans for Field Day on June 24th and 25th. There will be discussion of the operating location, entry class, antennas to be used, and most importantly food.

2023-06-01 RVARC Meeting Minutes
7:05pm: Meeting called to order by President Don Bennett, KG7BP. 24 attendees
Treasurer’s report: $5108.34 bank balance plus $77 in VEC test fees
Jim Brendle asked for volunteers for the 2023 Wild Rogue Relay Race starting June 16, call Jim at 828-280-5184
Field Day is June 24 & 25 at Ludwell Sibley’s place at 102 McDonough Rd, Sams Valley. Tom, N5EG, will post a map on the club email reflector & the website, k7mfr.org
ARRL needs form 605 for operators. It will be category 2A, but if enough operators, perhaps 3A. Mike, WB6FFC, remarked that we need someone to copy the ARRL message for extra points. Also, need solar powered rigs & satellite contacts for extra points. About ten folks volunteered to help with setup on Friday at Noon. The club callsign is K7MFR. The N1MM+ logging program needs to be updated to the latest version the night before. Pat, KD7MPA, volunteered to setup the PC’s. $250 from RVARC and $250 from the CARE club are allocated for food and gasoline expenses.
