Before meeting: FCC License Exam (check-in at 5:15 PM)

Don Bennett has announced an FCC license exam right before our club meeting on November 3rd at the Medford PD Community room. The check-in for the exam starts at 5:15 PM. Don has asked that you preregister if possible but he will take walk-ins.

2022-11-3 RVARC Meeting Minutes

7:07pm Pat, KD7MPA, called meeting to order. 23 attendees present.

Allan, K7GT, mentioned the CW Sweepstakes November 5-7, 2022, and Phone Sweepstakes on November 19-21, 2022.

There were 3 new licensees from exam night.

Treasurer’s Report: $4783.02 bank balance, with 3 dues pending deposit.

Elections for 2023 club officers were held, with the nominees for President: Don Bennett, KG7BP; Vice-president: Scott Cummings, NA7OM; Treasurer: Mike Bach, WB6FFC; Secretary: John Armstrong, KF7UMK; All were voted in without opposition.

The recent swap meet had about 20 attendees.

The December Meeting presentation may be about 3D-printing related to ham radio.

Scott, NA7OM, made a motion to recognize Amy, AG7GP, for her SOTA work, possibly giving a presentation at the January meeting, and another motion that the secretary compose a letter of appreciation to the MPD, before the end of the year, for their providing the meeting room.

7:22pm Scott Rosenfeld, N7JI, of the Willamette Valley DX Club, WVDXC.ORG, gave tonight’s presentation remotely from Eugene. The club has been 60 years running the 7th area QSL Bureau. The club’s callsigns include W7RM.
