Intro to setting up and using WSTJ-X with the idea of helping getting set up for the first ARRL digital contest.

Then after the break Field Day planning for those interested.

RVARC Meeting minutes for June 2, 2022

Meeting opened 7:04 PM

Treasurer report: Bank balance $4842.81

K7D 7QP entry - received 3rd place Multi-Multi, and 1st place Jackson county.

Pat mentioned that September meeting likely on programming handheld radios. Tom reminded all that there are no meetings in July and August.

Scott NA7OM reported on receiving his Philippines license DU1/NA7OM and his upcoming trip / and DX operation.

7:30 PM

Pat gave the program on the new ARRL DIGITAL CONTEST. The exchange is 4-character Maidenhead grid square. Technically, the contest is non-RTTY, but FT4/8 modes predominate. Pat’s presentation will be put on the club website.

8:02 PM

Field Day discussion. The location at Hyatt Lake has been secured for field day (thanks to Mike, Scott, et al.).

Motion to Approve up to $250 for field day expenses was made by John Layborne, seconded by Don Bennett. Motion passed without opposition.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
