RVARC Meeting Minutes 2021-12-02
Meeting held on Zoom started at 7pm
12 attendees
New business:
Scott, NA7OM, made a motion to send $50 to the ARRL Spectrum Defense Fund, for the 3GHz band. Dave, KJ7GFS, seconded the motion, vote was taken and it was unanimous in the affirmative.
7:14pm President Pat, KD7MPA, initiated a poll for presentation topics for next year.
Tom, N5EG, said the club needs to know which members are also ARRL members, as we are an ARRL affiliated club. Pat, KD7MPA, said that along with sending in next year’s dues, let Mike, WB6FFC, or Tom, N5EG, know if you are an ARRL member. Mail dues (checks only) to:

Bank balance remains the same as last month, and treasurer will renew the club business name with the state in the next week. Pat, KD7MPA, will send out a google form asking for ideas and volunteers for next year’s programs.

Scott, NA7OM, proposed a possible Winter Field Day (Jan 29-30, 2022) site at Table Mountain Snow Park, near Hyatt Lake Resort. It has a big parking lot and a 15’x25’ warming hut for radio setup. We will revisit the idea at the next meeting on Jan 6, 2022.
Meeting officially ended around 8pm. A variety of discussions about antennas, eHam, sats, and slow-scan TV followed for about another 40 minutes.
