The CARE club is restarting meetings, and we should talk to them about the details of the dual-membership situation for 2022.
Elections were discussed and it was decided to call for nominations and vote for club officers at this meeting, as there was a large member attendance and the time for elections was due. With a short list of nominees, votes were taken and the results for 2022 officers were:
- President: Pat Cunningham, KD7MPA
- Vice-President: Scott Cummings, NA7OM
- Treasurer: Mike Bach, WB7FFC
- Secretary: John Armstrong, KF7UMK
Thanks to those volunteering to serve, and all the members are invited to participate with your good ideas for taking the club higher in excellence for the coming years. We are especially needing program ideas for next year’s meetings.
Scott, NA7OM, motions for a constitution change to allow the VP to be a paid position. No second was heard, and Pat says there may be legal issues with that change. The motion died without further discussion.
731pm The Presentation is on Multimode Digital Voice, by Pat, KD7MPA.
Dealing with modes like DMR, C4FM, DSTAR, P25, NXDN, POCSAG, AX25, M17, or FM Analog.
Pat implemented first an MMDVM hotspot. The hardware is open source, can have internal or external radio, and simplex or duplex mode. There are lots of vendors, with varying quality of hardware and documentation.
Pat’s MMDVM used an Analog Devices ADF7021 RF Transceiver. The software used to interface between the user UI and the radio board was MMDVMHost. Find it at github.com/g4klx/MMDVMHost

845pm Meeting adjourned.
