Program: Antennas: Array of Light—book review, Allan Taylor, K7GT
Tom Schiller, N6BT, founder of Force 12 Antennas, and very experienced in practical antennas write a book entitled ‘Antennas: Array of Light’ that provides an intuitive understanding of antennas and contains the lessons he learned over the years. Allan Taylor will review the book highlighting key aspects of how antennas work.
Biography: Allan Taylor, K7GT is a contester, high speed CW operator, and former club president.
The November club meeting will be conducted via Zoom. The logon details for the meeting will be sent via email, and on the (private) club email reflector. We will also send the login upon request.

RVARC Meeting Minutes November 5, 2020
Meeting started at 7:00 P.M. via zoom.
Allan mentioned that CW Sweepstakes was this weekend (Nov 7th).
Motion made and seconded to extend all club memberships that had a validity date of 2020 or later by one year due to COVID-19. Vote: 8 Aye, 1 Nay. Motion passes.
No treasurer report for October as the treasurer was not present.
Jeff Louie, KJ7JAL activated Summits On The Air (SOTA) - Upper Table Rock with help from Allan Taylor.
Sunspot numbers are up a lot recently, in the low 80’s as of the start of November. The solar flux was 92.0 the 3 days before the meeting.
CQWW SSB had poor conditions, and there were a lack of DXpeditions due to COVID-19 which was a disappointment.
7:31 PM—presentation by Allan Taylor K7GT on Tom Shiller’s book : “Array of Light” about antennas. Allan added a lot of material on antennas useful for SOTA expeditions.
