Todd announced that the survey created last month received 33 responses so far, and that the survey is still active. Initial review of the data from the survey responses reflects a very diverse group within the club. Because of that fact, it would be expected that participation by members would be according to their own interest. However, the formation of special interests groups are encouraged. The newsletter and the club website could be utilized to help coordinate and develop these subgroups.
New Business — Todd, K7TFC announced that a workshop will be held on February 18 at the Santos Center. Topics covered include programming HT radios and an overview of using the local repeater systems. It will go from 7-8:30 pm.

Dale, N7IXS announced a test session on February 22 at the firehouse in Talent.
The meeting was put on hold at 1925 PDT for “eyeball QSOs” and coffee. The meeting was called back into session at 2000 PDT.

There are also many resources for information on the D-Star system on the internet.
The meeting was adjourned at 2055 PDT.
