MINUTES OF THE 3 NOV 11 ROGUE VALLEY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB MEETING

The meeting was called to order by President Allan Taylor, K7GT at 1900L in the Red Cross building in Medford, OR.

Five guests were present: Ed Payne KA7PVR, Bob Earl KD6VIA, Cody Nault KF7OCO, Vic Prible KB6LMF & Tom May WA7SZU

Since the minutes are in the news-letter they will not be read. Treasurer Lud Sibley, KB2EVN was not present, but he submitted a separate finance report after the meeting: the current bank balance is $4542.49.

OLD BUSINESS:

Tom McDermott N5EG gave us a field day report. It is available on the ARRL web site.

Allan asked for the nominating committee report. Tom reported that this year’s Vice President Scott Cummings KB7EHB, Secretary Jack Schock WA7IHU, and Treasurer Lud Sibley, KB2EVN all agreed to run again for their present positions. Jeff Statchwick, W7KNX agreed to run for club president.

Allan asked if there were any nominations from the floor. Chuck Mahler, KN6WW made a motion that nominations be closed and that we elect the above by acclamation. It was seconded by Joe, KB7QMT and by a show-of-hands the motion passed unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

Allan asked for ideas on where to have our Christmas dinner meeting. Jack suggested the New Far East restaurant. There being no other ideas or dissentions from the New Far East he was told to reserve the place.

At 1930L Allan put the meeting on hold for coffee and “eye ball” QSOing.

At 2000L Allan called the meeting back into session.

Jack WA7IHU and Bud W7LNG put on a Power Point slide presentation on the art of “home brewing.”

Allan adjourned the meeting at 2100L.
