Membership
Many folks in the club are technically oriented, enjoy building equipment and antennas, operating radio contests, hiking and camping with Ham Radio, and operating in parks. The club has held occasional seminars on antenna modeling software, gnuradio, and other topics. If you would like to join RVARC, please print and fill out the application form and either bring it to a meeting or mail it to the address on the form.
Governance
The purpose of RVARC shall be to bring together at frequent intervals those who are interested in Amateur Radio for fellowship, exchange of technical information concerning Amateur Radio, and public service. This organization is not organized for profit, and no part of the net earnings shall inure to the benefit of any private shareholder. This club is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Meetings & Events
Meetings The Rogue Valley Amateur Radio Club (RVARC) normally meets 10 times per year. Meetings are on the First Thursday of each month (except July and August) and start at 7:00 PM. The meeting location is dependant on the month, see homepage or most recent newsletter We often have a program on specific technical topics, but also on such down-to-earth topics as rigging antennas in small spaces, operating procedures, and hands-on topics like using Arduinos or Raspberry Pi’s in Ham radio.
